We can help low-income cancer patients save their hair!
Join me in ending chemo-induced hair loss, please give today.
One of the first things my kids asked when I told them I had cancer was, "Are you going to lose your hair?" I told them I probably would, but I knew I also wanted to give them as much normalcy as I could. Thus, as most of y'all know, I did cold capping while I was undergoing chemotherapy in an effort to preserve my hair. West Cancer utilizes the Paxman Scalp Cooling technology. I wore the cap during my premeds infusion, through my Taxol infusion, and then for 90 minutes post-treatment. It got uncomfy sometimes and it added a lot of time to my treatment (not to mention it was SUPER attractive π), but I am very happy I did it.
Unfortunately, the cap costs $2400 and is not covered by medical insurance in most states. In an effort to pay it forward, I am hosting a small fundraiser to help another woman afford scalp cooling who may struggle to afford to pay for it out of pocket. Please help if you feel so led. Thank you humbly, friends.
Love, Anna
