For my St. Andre Project, I decided to create a fundraiser to help low-income cancer patients access cold caps during chemotherapy. One of the hardest and most common side effects of chemotherapy is hair loss, yet many people don’t realize how deeply it can affect patients. Seeing how much cold caps helped my mom keep her hair and confidence during treatment made me want to help other patients who might not be able to access them on their own. I hope to raise awareness and expand access to options that help patients maintain a sense of normalcy and confidence during treatment! I am organizing a collection of items to sell through the Cathedral Spirit Shop, including t-shirts for all Pink Out sports games in October, with proceeds benefiting HairToStay. Whether you purchase an item or donate through this page, you’ll be supporting a meaningful cause and helping patients preserve both their hair and their confidence!
